We are based in Robertson the starting point of the Small Karoo on the famous Rout 62, but we are not here to talk about wine, this is all about you, your bike and the open spectacular countryside of the Western Cape.Next tour leaves McGregor 7am on the 11th July 2008 and ends on the 13th July in Napier at 17h00 (R1450 per person - min 4 and max 9 people).
Includes:
1. 2 Nights accommodation (single and bunk beds).
2. All meals and some beer (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
3. Guide and entrance fees to Groot Toring.
4. All rides.
About the tour:
We leave McGregor at 7 am to enjoy breakfast in the Small Karoo somewhere on a hill about 30 km away to kick-start the day with some coffee and to enjoy the spectacular view. Now it’s time for some climbing, up the word famous 4x4 route, groot toring. Not for the faint hearted, 450’s can go up with some effort but can be done without breaking yourself or your bike. Having something to munch after the 3 hour trip up the mountain, we ride back to McGregor to load to bike for the journey to Napier (1 hour drive).
Booking into the Suntouched In, we kick back and enjoy the vibe, pizza and locally brewed beer (Napier Beer). The next morning we refuel at the gas station on our way to the beach, breakfast at Coin Point on the beach.
The rest of the day we will spend riding approximately 150 km all over the rolling hills of this area (for this trip we all need to pack 5 litres of fuel). No fuel where we are going, only dirt roads and amazing riding.
