The sounds of nature and beautiful three sixty degree views can be appreciated from your very own stone cottage just kilometres from a quaint craft brewery and restaurant, and wine farm. This is the where the name Saggy Stone comes from for our brewery and pub. A cabin in the mountains above our farm where you can enjoy a romantic getaway - sitting in the hot tub, watching the night sky.
One of two exclusive units tucked away in the kloof, you feel miles away from the stress and worries of daily life.
Relax in our stunning, cozy and character-filled stone cottage in the midst of the Nuy Valley wilderness. This is the site where Saggy Stone Brewery's name originated from.
Sit under the huge oak tree with a cup of coffee and relax with beautiful Kloof views that stretch for miles while listening to the sounds of busy birds flitting from tree to tree. Nestled deep in the Nuy Valley between Robertson and Worcester, only an hour and a half from Cape Town, lies this special Oaktree Cottage with the added luxury of a wood fired hot tub from which you can sit back and count the shooting stars on a clear night.
The rustic splendour of a striking kloof backdrop completes your memorable retreat.
During the course of 2018 we will be putting game onto the farm, and the cottages will then be part of the game reserve (hence the reason for no pets allowed)
It is one of two exclusive units in the mountains behind our farm - each, unique and offering privacy and memorable experiences.
Saggy Stone Craft Brewery and Pub is on the farm, open on weekends (Friday to Monday 11am till 4pm)
Within the boundaries of the game reserve is a 4x4 trail which takes you to the mountainous heights above the farm from where you can see Worcester and Robertson - spectacular sunset spot!
Hopefully there will be some game grazing nearby within in the near future
Interaction with guests
As often as you need us to - you do not need to see us when you check in
Other things to note
Only accessible with a high clearance vehicle - it is a 4km gravel road into the mountains. Please contact us prior to arrival to check on accessibility if you feel unsure.
Other guests have taken sedans up but I wouldn't recommend low profile vehicles
